Biography

Bashir joined BrakeTime Corner Market, a convenience store and fuel retail company established by his family, in 2014. Alongside his brother, he helped oversee the company's expansion through acquisitions. By 2025, the company operated more than 300 fuel stations across 16 U.S.states[7][8] and maintained a back-office operation in Pakistan employing more than 500 people.[1][2][3][4][9][8]

In addition to his role in retail, Bashir has appeared as an investor on the Pakistani business reality television series ''Shark Tank Pakistan'', where he has invested in startups operating in the commodities, consumer products, and technology sectors. He committed Rs.1.5 billion (approximately US$5.3 million) to the startup Saraaf, in a deal reported by multiple media outlets as the largest in the program's history.[1][5][9][10][11]

In 2026, Bashir joined the judging panel of ''Pakistan's Got Talent'', a Pakistani adaptation of the international ''Got Talent'' franchise.[12]
