Azhar Idrus or real name Zamrul bin Idrus (born 12 February 1964) is a Malaysian freelance speaker. He is famous for his delivery style and his lectures are very understated, interspersed with concentrated answers in the Terengganu dialect.
Early life and education[edit]
Ustaz Azhar Idrus (Zamrul bin Idrus) was born on February 12, 1964 in Kampung Ladang, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu Darul Iman. Since he was a child, he was fondly called by the name Azhar by his family and eventually the name Azhar stuck to him even though his birth name was Zamrul.
Ustaz Azhar received his early education at Hj Mohd Sharif Primary School, Alor Star, Kedah. After completing his studies at the primary level, he continued his studies at Darulaman National Secondary School, Alor Star, Kedah until form 2. When he entered form 3, he moved to the state of his birth at the English school, Sultan Sulaiman National Secondary School, Kuala Terengganu until finished 6th grade.
He has received religious education through talaqqi with several religious teachers around Kuala Terengganu.
