Vadim Shpak is a Singapore-based venture capitalist and academic. He is a Venture Partner at Vickers Venture Partners,[1] a firm investing globally in life sciences, artificial intelligence, and financial technology.[2] He also teaches venture capital and entrepreneurship at several Singapore universities.[3][4][5]
Education
Shpak holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) in London.[6]
Career
Shpak has been associated with Vickers Venture Partners since 2016, initially in senior operational roles, and became Venture Partner in 2025.[7] He has served as a member of the Venture Capital committee at the Singapore Venture and Private Capital Association (SVCA) since 2023.[8][9] Until 2026, he also held the role of Director, Europe & Asia at Helena Special Investments,[10][11] which operates through both non-profit and for-profit entities to address social issues.[12]
Academic roles
Shpak teaches venture capital and entrepreneurship at several universities in Singapore. He is faculty on the Venture Capital and Private Equity Programme at Singapore Management University[3] and an adjunct lecturer at the Asian Institute of Digital Finance at the National University of Singapore.[4] He also holds course faculty and lecturer positions for Venture Capital Investment on the MSc Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship programme at Nanyang Technological University.[5]
Public engagements
Shpak was a panellist at the Singapore FinTech Festival 2023, contributing to a session on the development of AI ecosystems covering talent, investment, and regulatory frameworks.[13] He served as a judge at the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition 2025.[14]
