Valerie (Val) Hatley Mace-Mapa

Valerie Mace-Mapa (or Val), is a soprano and key singer with the Heritage Singers. She is the daughter of Max and Lucy Mace, founders of the gospel music ensemble Heritage Singers.[1]

Biography[edit]

Valerie Ann was born and lived in Idaho with her brother, Gregory James. She began traveling with the group at age nine and began singing in its concerts full-time two years later. At the age of 17, she recorded Dreamer, her first solo album in 1979. She later recorded "Little Flowers", "Maranatha", on her second solo album Lullaby of Heaven in 1993[2]

In the mid-80s, she was part of the program called Keep on Singing (now Heritage Singers Classics) on Trinity Broadcasting Network.
