Val Okimoto
Val Aquino Okimoto is an American political candidate for District 36 of the Hawaii House of Representatives. Okimoto is a member of the Hawaii Republican Party and is of Japanese and Filipina ancestry.[1] She is also currently serving on the Board of Directors[2] for the Mililani Town Association.

Okimoto was born in Lihue, Hawaii on Kauai. She attended Kauai High School where she graduated with honors. She later graduated with Honors (Cum Laude) from Brigham Young University–Hawaii with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Minor in Business Management. She also earned her Special Education Teacher Certification at Chaminade University of Honolulu.[3]
Career and Community Service
Okimoto is a former special education teacher. In March 2015, she was elected to the Mililani Town Association Board of Directors[4]. She is also a School Community Council member of Mililani ‘Ike Elementary School.[5]
