Valerio Saia (born 18 May 1991) is an Italian entrepreneur and business executive. He is a co-founder of DR7, a Cagliari-based business established in 2024 that began in the premium-car rental sector and later expanded into luxury services and business-management technology.[1][2]

Early life

Saia was born on 18 May 1991 in Cagliari, on the Italian island of Sardinia.[3]

Career

Founding of DR7

Saia co-founded DR7 with Ilenia Campagnola in Cagliari on 13 March 2024.[1][2] According to reports published by Libero and Lifestyleblog.it, the company was established without venture-capital funding or external investors. Its reported initial capital of €10,000 came from a contribution made by Saia's father and was used to incorporate the business and acquire an Audi RS Q3.[1][2]

The business initially offered sports and premium vehicles for short rental periods. It reportedly generated approximately €20,000 in business volume during its first 15 days, after which the founders reinvested the proceeds to add vehicles including an Audi RS 6 and an Audi RS 3.[1][2]

As the company developed, Saia and Campagnola changed its principal rental model from hourly to daily rentals. Reports about the company described the change as an attempt to create more scalable operating processes following vehicle incidents, supplier difficulties and other operational problems.[1][2]

Expansion and technology projects

DR7 subsequently expanded its advertised services beyond premium vehicles to include villas, yachts, helicopters, private aircraft, concierge services and customised arrangements for affluent customers.[1][2]

The company also developed DR7 A.I., an internal software platform intended to manage quotations, contracts, electronic signatures, payments, customer communications and administrative and operational workflows.[1][2] Published profiles stated that the platform incorporated operational histories of customers as part of the company's efforts to improve risk management, transparency and security in professional vehicle rentals.[1]

Other brands and projects associated with the business have included DR7 Rent, DR7 Wash, DR7 Trust, DR7 Hub, DR7 SDI, DR7 EMTN and Drivion.[3][4] These projects have been described as covering fleet administration, vehicle security, electronic signatures, electronic invoicing, automation and risk-management infrastructure.[4]

Corporate development

According to Italian media reports, DR7 recorded approximately €470,000 in business volume during its first nine-month financial period, while its 2025 business volume approached €1 million.[1][2] The same reports stated that the company managed approximately 25 vehicles, served around 5,000 customers, handled more than 3,000 contracts annually and employed six people.[1][2]

DR7 converted into a Società per azioni in July 2025.[1][2] In May 2026, a sworn appraisal reportedly estimated the DR7 trademark's value at €5 million.[1][2] This figure represents an appraisal of the brand rather than a publicly reported sale, financing round or market capitalisation.

An article published by Il Roma in June 2026 also profiled Saia and Campagnola's development of DR7 from its initial rental operation into a broader luxury and technology business.[5]

Public profile

In July 2025, Casteddu Online published a sponsored interview in which Saia discussed plans to expand DR7 and stated an ambition to build it into a substantially larger international luxury group by 2030.[6] Because the article was identified by the publisher as an advertorial, its forecasts and promotional descriptions have not been independently established.
