Valkyrie Entertainment is an American video game developer based in Seattle, Washington.

History[edit]

Founded in 2002 by Andy O'Neil and Marco Thrush, the studio mostly focuses on supporting other development teams. In December 2021, Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired the company.[1][3] Since the studio was founded in 2002 the studio has contributed to the development of well over 100 games, including games from PlayStation franchises such as God of War, inFAMOUS and Twisted Metal.[1]

Valkyrie Entertainment's first and to date only game, Guns Up!, was released on the PlayStation 4 in December 2015 and on PC in December 2018. In October 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it would be shutting down the game's servers on May 14, 2023, rendering the game unplayable.[4] On April 1, 2022, a mobile version of the game was released for iOS and Android.[5]
