Vantage (Apex Legends)
Vantage is one of the 23 legends from Apex Legends. Apex legends is free to play battle royal video game avialble on PC, Xbox , Play Station, and now Andriod and iOS. Apex legends was develop by Respawn Entertainment and released under Electronic Arts.
Vantage was introduced to the game on August 9, 2022, during the Season of the Hunted, season 14. Vantage is a recon legend, and a spiner savant. [1]
Abilities
Vantages Tactial ability is Echo Relocation, passive ability is Spotter's Lens and her ultimate ability is Sniper's mark.[1]
Echo Relocation
Vantage positions Echo by blowing her whistle, her winged companion, and then dashes towards Echo's location.Echo must be visible for Vantage to reposition. This ability has a 20 second cooldown. Echo can be positioned up to 40m from Vantages current location. Echo uses echo location to navigate. Echo will follow Vantage as she moves around. Enemies are able to see Vantage's Echo, however Echo is not targetable. [2][1]
Spotter's Lens
Vantage is able to aim down sight (ADS) without a weapon or with a mid-long ranged weapon, giving her a 3x zoom. This is accompied by a bullet drop indicator to see where your shots will land. Enemies can be seen behind leaves and windows. [1]
Sniper's Mark
Vantage uses her cutom sniper rifle to hit enemies and mark them targets for her team. A damage bonus is applied for Vantage and her team for each shot which is hit with the custom sniper. Three consecutive hits on the same target result in a knockdown. Vantage can mark up to 5 enemies in one full charge of her ultimate ability. The cooldown for this ability to reach full charge is 3.33 minutes, 40 seconds per bullet of a maximum of 5 bullets.[2] [1]
Lore
Vantage's real name is Xiomara “Mara” Contreras. Vantage is currently 18 years old and belongs to home world Págos.[1]

"Xiomara “Mara” Contreras was born and raised alone on the wild ice planet Págos by her survivalist mother, Xenia. Mara proved gifted with a sniper rifle from the moment she was big enough to look through the scope and reach the trigger at the same time. The tight-lipped Xenia could only get her chatty daughter to stop asking questions by giving her a scavenged copy of Encyclopedia Outlandica, which Mara memorized front to back.
When Mara was 18, she discovered the wreck of the G.D.S. Vantage. Against her mother’s wishes, Mara snuck in, only to learn that she had been lied to. Her mother hadn’t grown up on Págos: she was brought there on the G.D.S. Vantage as a prisoner. Disturbed by the intrusion, the ship collapsed into a crevasse, trapping a wounded Mara. Her mother only found her after a baby bat Mara had rescued circled the crevasse holding Mara’s signature whistle. By the time Xenia got to her daughter, the injuries were too severe for her to treat.To save her daughter’s life, Xenia set off the prison ship’s SOS beacon, but was imprisoned once more in return.
Once Mara had healed, she visited her mother in jail, promising to find a way to get her out. But Xenia begged Mara not to, fearful that Mara would wind up in prison beside her. It would break her heart to see her daughter share her fate, so Xenia told her daughter to get back to Págos and forget about her.
But Mara would not. At a loss for what to do, unable to return to her planet, and unable to fit into society, Mara’s eye turned to the Apex Games. In it, she saw a situation she understood--survival--and a platform to draw public attention to Xenia’s case. With raised awareness of her wrongful conviction, she took the moniker Vantage to rally support and pressure those in power to set her mother free."[1]
