Veera W. Vilo

Veera W. Vilo (born 1990) is a Finnish actress, filmmaker and an aesthetic group gymnastics world champion.[1] Her most featured works are Tuftland (2017) and Bunny the Killer Thing (2015).

Vilo graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Acting Degree from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.[2]

In Västerås Film Festival, Sweden in 2018, Vilo earned a nomination for Best International Female Actor for her role in Tuftland.[3]

In addition to acting, Vilo produces and writes independent films. As one of the producers of Tuftland, in 2018, she has been awarded with the Best Narrative Feature in Arizona Underground Film Festival, USA, Best Feature Film in Cinemafantastique International Genre Film Fest, Canada and Best Domestic Feature in Scandinavian International Film Festival in Finland.[4]

Before her acting and filmmaking career Vilo was a national team gymnast. She won an aesthetic group gymnastics Junior World Champion in 2005, World Cup Bronze in 2007, Women’s World Champion in 2008 and a World Cup Gold in the same year.[5]
