Veidehi Gite (born 13 February 1981) is an Indian journalist. [1] She is the managing director and editor-in-chief of Krazy Butterfly, a luxury publication [2] oriented towards travel and lifestyle. Before Forbes India,[3] Gite was a columnist for The National News, CEO World Magazine and Times of India.[4][5][6] Previously, she had also served stints at First Post and Deccan Herald. [7][8] Her news channel Krazy Butterfly was launched in September 2016.

Early life and family

Family

Gite was born in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh on 13 February 1981 in a Brahmin family of Rahul Gite and Nihar Gite. Her father, Rahul Gite served as the General Manager of M.P. Laghu Udyog Nigam and retired in the 2000s after serving the government for nearly 30 years. Veidehi's mother, Nihar Gite served as a principal in MKHS college. She wrote various columns and books. Education

Gite attended schools across various parts of India. She completed her 10th grade of school at St. Raphael's Girls' Higher Secondary School and 12th grade at Banasthali Vidyapith. Gite has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Computer Science from MKHS College, DAVV in Indore. In 1999, Gite pursued Computer Engineering at IBM. In 2004, Gite completed her Master's in HR and marketing from GSIMR, DAVV University.

Career

Gite started her career with Outlook_(Indian_magazine) as a journalist in 2020;[11] less than a year later, she started contributing to Travel + Leisure Asia [12][13], Deccan Herald and Today's Traveller. [14] In 2022, Gite started working as a columnist for CEOWORLD Magazine, [15] LLM, [16] Times of India, First Post, and Forbes India. [17]

Book

In 2002, Gite wrote a book Sri Lanka, See More, Do More.[citation needed]
