Vera Pragnell

Vera Gwendolen Pragnell (23 September 1896 – 24 October 1968)[1] was an English film researcher, script writer and journalist, sometimes writing under the name Vera Denis-Earle.[2]
In 1923, Pragnell created the Sanctuary, a utopian commune in Heath Common, West Sussex.[3]
Pragnell was the daughter of textile magnate Sir George Pragnell.[4][5] In 1927 she married Edward Dennis Earle, an artist.[6] They had one daughter, Deirdre.[1]
