Violet Daisy "Vi" Robbins (née Brabent) (28 February 1902 – 8 October 2014)[3] was an Australian supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Australia from the death of 112-year-old Scottish-born Jane Gray (who was 89 days older) on 7 June 2014[3][4] though until her own death 4 months later at age 112 years, 222 days.[5] She was married to Edward John Robbins and lived at Coogee, New South Wales, before retiring to a nursing facility at Randwick, New South Wales.

At the age of 100, she began volunteering at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, where she worked until 2012.[3] Shortly before her 108th birthday, she was officially recognised as the world's oldest volunteer by Guinness World Records.[1] and The Vi Robbins annual volunteer award was named in her honour, launched by Kingsford Smith MP, Matt Thistlethwaite. She was succeeded as the oldest living person in Australia by Ethel Farrell (born 27 November 1902).[5]
