Victor Carlstrom, born May 7, 1984 in Gothenburg, is an American and naturalized Swedish citizen, as well as the first Swedish person with asylum protection in America.[1][2]

Best known as the one who filed a 4.2 billion US dollars lawsuit against the Swedish authorities, Swedbank, Folksam, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, the director general for Swedbank Jens Henriksson, the head of the Swedish central bank Erik Thedèen, the head of the Swedish Tax Agency Katrin Westling Palm.[3] The lawsuit was filed in federal court in the Southern District of New York and was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.[4]

Victor Carlstrom appealed the verdict in federal court in the Southern District of New York to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which is the court below the Supreme Court in America. The appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit was later withdrawn without explanation.[2]
