Victoria Repa is a Ukrainian entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and CEO of BetterMe,[1] a health and fitness app development company. In 2020, she was named in Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list under the Technology category.
Early life and education
Repa grew up in a village in the east of Ukraine. With limited access to computers, she read books on business. She studied at a local school and then graduated in business and financial economics from the Kyiv School of Economics.[2][3] She is also a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program as well as Apple Entrepreneur Camp. Victoria has been a member of Forbes Tech Council since 2019.[4]
Career
Early career
After graduating, Repa worked with Procter & Gamble, an FMCG company and Genesis, a media publishing company.[5] In 2016, she, along with co-founder Vitaly Laptenok, worked on a women-related app called BeautyHub which failed in its initial stages. They also launched BoredMan, an app for men and FeedYourKid, a food recipe app, both of which were also unsuccessful.
BetterMe
Later, in 2018, they launched another app called BetterMe which offered customized fitness and diet courses. They worked with professionals to design the workout, weight loss and meditation programs, and then tested it to measure the outcome.[5] The company reported annual revenues of more than US $60m in March 2020.[2] As of June 2020, it has released 10 apps that have collectively reached more than 80 million downloads worldwide.
Recognition
Repa was recognized by Forbes magazine in its 30 Under 30 Europe list under the Technology category for the year 2020. She was also recognized as one of the Top-20 Women Tech Entrepreneurs in Ukraine 2020.[6]
