Vidyut Thomas Xavier

Vidyut Xavier (born 11 September 1996) is an Indian actor, model and assistant director, who primarily works in Hindi television. He made his acting debut in 2010 with a minor role in Dabangg. Xavier is best known for his potrayal of Karna in Mahabharat and Dr. Abhay Sathe in Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii.

Early life[edit]

Vidyut was born on 11 September 1996 in Mumbai, in a Christain family to Thomas A. Xavier, who is a well-known Cinematographer and his mother was a Costume designer. He lost his mother to Covid-19.[1]

Xavier did his schooling from Utpal Shanghvi School and went to Mithibai College & Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management.He is a graduate in Bachelor in Mass Media.

Career[edit]

Film career (2010-2012)[edit]

Vidyut started his career as a background dancer in films and assisted famous choreographer Rekha Prakash for two years. In 2010, he made his acting debut with Dabangg where he played the role of Sattu and worked as an assistant director. He next worked as an assistant direction in the 2012 film Dabangg 2.[2]

Television career (2013-present)[edit]

In 2013, Vidyut made his TV debut with the role of Young Karna in Mahabharat. He next appeared as Rahul Joshi in the series 24: Season 2.

In 2019, he played Voibhov in the web mini-series Charmsukh, marking his web debut. He next appeared as Sameer Gehlot in Pavitra Bhagya.[3]

In 2021, he appeared in the music video Jeene De. Xavier had his breakthrough with the lead role of Dr. Abhay Sathe in Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii, where he recieved praises for his role.[4]
