This was a double decker bus, converted during the mid 1980's to be a mobile activity centre. It had beds for 18 adults upstairs, while the downstairs had a kitchen, dining room shower and toilet.
The bus was based in England and was the brain child of Paul Beak and Robbie Bell, university friends whos interest in travel, adventure and busses combined to create the Viking Nomads.
"this isnt a bus, its a god-damned adventure... in bus form" Paul Beak
The bus took groups of people around the UK and Europe, to surf, cycle, climb, ski and explore. It parked up in French and Austrian Ski resorts, where occupants sleeping bags literally froze to the bus windows at night and it pulled up on surf beaches in towns up and down the West Coast of france.
