Village Independent Democrats
Overview
The Village Independent Democrats is a reform political club founded in 1957 to serve Part A of New York’s 66th Assembly district. It is one of the oldest such clubs in New York City and works to reform city and state politics to support progressive candidates and policies, although they also work on national issues in addition to statewide and local issues.
The club normally meets in Lenox Health Greenwich Village, 200 West 13th St.
Endorsements
In December 2020, Village Independent Democrats endorsed Christopher Marte for City Council in District 1.
