The Vilm 1 is a 10,60 metre (36 ft) fibreglass monohull motorsailer, designed by design by Siegel u. Frach (Berlin, Germany) and built by Bootsbau Ruegen-Lauterbach in Germany. Though it is a fibreglass boat, it has a mahogany superstructure.[1] [2] [3] [4]
The Vilm 1 has a teak deck, S-shaped hull with long keel. The fuel tank is said to be 400 or 450 l.[1] [4] You can fuel up on either side of the boat. The water tank is said to be 200 or 300 l.[4] There is no waste water tank on board. Steering can happen both from the pilot house or from the main deck. [3] [4]
The Vilm 1 originally comes with one engine, a reliable 75 hp (55kW) volvo penta md21a engine. It consumes approximately 4 l/hr. [4]
The interior of the Vilm 1 is mahagony. The saloon contains a dinette with kitchen, a toilet, closet, v-birth, pilot house, and aft cabin. The v-birth and aft cabin each sleep two, and the dinette can be converted into a double bed, thus sleeping 6 in total.[5]
