Vineet Shukla
Vineet Shukla is an Indian filmmaker and cinematographer known for his work in documentary and short films. His work has been associated with social themes, particularly homelessness and urban life in the United Kingdom.

Early life and education
Vineet Shukla was born in Naugarh, Siddharth Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is the grandson of Ishwar Chandra Shukla, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Uttar Pradesh.[1]
He completed his early schooling at St. Xavier’s High School, Siddharthnagar, and later pursued his secondary and higher secondary education at City Montessori School, Lucknow.
Shukla enrolled in a BBA LL.B. programme at Christ University, Bengaluru (2016–2017), but did not complete the course. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi (2017–2020).
He later pursued professional education in filmmaking, completing a Master of Science in Cinema from the Asian Academy of Film and Television, Noida (2020–2022). He further obtained a Master of Arts in Digital Media Management from Sheffield Hallam University (2024–2025).
Career
Shukla began his career in theatre, working with the Delhi-based theatre group Black Pearl Arts between 2018 and 2019 under the direction of Amul Sagar.
He later transitioned into film and media production, working across short films, documentaries, television, and digital platforms. He worked as an assistant cinematographer on the Hindi television series Faltu, broadcast on Star Plus, and as a still photographer on the web series Pratishod, released on Waves OTT.[2]
In addition to his technical roles, Shukla has directed multiple short films and independent projects.
Notable work
No Place Like Home (2024)
Shukla directed the documentary No Place Like Home (2024), which explores homelessness in Sheffield, United Kingdom. The film highlights lived experiences of homeless individuals and examines structural and social challenges related to housing.
The documentary received recognition at the Knowmad Institute Film Festival in Germany, where it won an award.[3]
Shukla was also invited to present the film at the Times School of Media (ICA 2026), hosted by Bennett University, Noida.[3]
