Vinit Kumar Gunjan is an Indian academician, working as an associate professor in Department of Computer science and Engineering at CMR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, Telangana State). He is known for his competency and expertise in the area of research and development. The Science and Engineering Research Board a statutory body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India awarded him the Early Career Research Award in the year 2016. He is a senior member of IEEE and an active volunteer of IEEE Hyderabad section [6],[7],[8],[19],[20] and has volunteered in the capacity of Treasurer, Secretary, Student Branch Counsellor & Chairman of IEEE Young Professionals Affinity Group, IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Student branch. He was involved as organizer in many technical & non-technical workshops, seminars & conferences of IEEE & Springer. He has the privilege of working with top leaders of IEEE and awarded with best IEEE Young Professional award in 2017 by IEEE Hyderabad Section.

Early life and education

Vinit Kumar Gunjan is a computer engineer has done B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering. He was born and brought up in Gaya, Bihar and has done his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. He has done his doctoral research in the area of Cyber Security.

Career

He had been involved with Tata Teleservices Limited at the beginning of his career. He started his academic career with Annamacharya Institute of Technology & Sciences Rajampet [3],[16] (Affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh). He has got keen interests in doing Research, Training and Service and have organized various Faculty Development Programs, Symposiums, Tech Talks, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences of International repute [13],[18].

Books & Articles

He has published 14 papers in journals, three Conference Proceedings and four Books [5],[9],[10],[11],[15] and have four edited volumes of book to his credit. All the publications are with reputed publishers like IEEE, Springer, Elsevier[1],[2] and Helix Most of his publications are indexed in Web of Science, ESCI & Scopus[11],[12].
