ViraTrace is a mobile application developer that was founded on March 16, 2020, in Denver, Colorado, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a specialist supplier of contact tracing mobile applications. The company was founded by Andrei Taranu, Wayne Thornton, Ivan Bestvina, and Anjana Pai. ViraTrace Co-Founder and Product Manager Andrei Taranu aggressively recruited volunteers and professionals and pushed them, eventually assembling a team of 15 international members.
ViraTrace, LLC was originally founded as NOVID-20, but changed its name after another mobile application was found to be using the name in Austria.
