Viraj Profiles Pvt Ltd is an Indian stainless steel manufacturing company, based in Palghar, Maharashtra and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Viraj Profiles was incorporated in 1990 and its first melt shop was commissioned in 1991. In 1992[1] they started their steel manufacturing journey in the industrial area of Tarapur, near Mumbai. It is a part of the Viraj Profiles Limited. [2] Viraj Profiles operates in 96 countries and has a turnover of over USD 1.5 billion with over 9,000 people in the company.[3][4] The company has signed an agreement in 2020 with SAP and Cisco for upgrading its IT infrastructure. [5]
In 2020 Viraj Profiles was working with Mumbai Police in fighting with Covid-19 and generating jobs for the unemployed.[6] [7]
History
Viraj Profiles was incorporated in 1990 and its first melt shop was commissioned in 1991. In 1992[1] they started their steel manufacturing journey in the industrial area of Tarapur, near Mumbai. In the year 2000, the company further diversified. A profile division came into existence from which 99 percent of the products got exported to international clients.
