Sadhvi Vishweshwari Devi (born on 9th July 1978) is an Indian dharmguru, spiritual Orator, preacher and motivational speaker. She is a renowned scholar of Hindi and Sanskrit literature and was brought up in a small village of Madhya Pradesh. Her father, Shri Harishanker Mishra was a priest at a local temple and mother Smt. Neelam Mishra was a homemaker..[1]

Early Life

Sadhvi spent most of her childhood in a small temple in her house. Unlike other children of her age group, who used to play with toys, she found immense pleasure in meditation and was deeply fascinated by the educational and inspirational stories narrated by her Granny. As there were no schools in her village, she had to travel to a nearby village to pursue her formal education[2]

Sadhvi completed her Post Graduation in Sanskrit (M. A.) and Doctorate in Indian Culture (Topic: Shri Valmiki Ramayana Main Sitaji ka Jeevan Darshan ) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

Career

Born in a Hindu family, Vishweshwari was exposed to temples and spirituality from a very young age. She spent most of her childhood chanting verses from Shri RamCharitra Manas and Shri Hanuman Chalisa while also attending school and pursuing her education.[3] She once had a dream in which Maa Banglamukhi gave her direction to conduct satsang[4] and meditation, increasing her spiritual awakening. At the age of 7 years, she took to the pulpit to express her concerns to the society around her.[5] She started organizing series of nine-day satsangs and seven-day Shrimad Bhagavat katha sessions at various places across India.[6][7][8] Throughout her career, spanning more than 30 years, Vishweshwari has devoted time to facilitate seminars and workshops for spiritual enlightenment of society. Her mission is to spread the teachings of Bhagwat Gita and educate society about the importance of Sanatan Dharma and its related practices and principles.[9]

Name change

During her travels across India and abroad, she came across many great scholars and teachers. She was blessed by many of them and gained spiritual insights, enhancing her knowledge and learnings about Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism and Indian spiritual heritage. During her ongoing journey she arrived at Shree Dham Vrindavan, where she received the Mantra Deeksha from the renowned Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Shri Tridandi Swami Devnarayan ji . Her journey of transformation from BABITA MISHRA to SADHVI VISHWESHWARI DEVI was completed with this Deeksha.

Shree Ram Kripa Dham Ashram (Haridwar)

In 1999, while sitting on the shore of the holy river Ganges, Sadhvi Vishweshwari Devi felt a deep sense of peace. As a result, she decided to form the Shree Ramkripa Dham Trust and established an Ashram in Haridwar. She also built temples of Shree Radha Krishna during the Haridwar Maha-Kumbh in 2010. Currently, she operates Shree Ram Kripa Dham Ashram and preaches about Satsang, Swadhyay, Tapasya and Tyaag.[1]

Shree Ramkripa Dham Trust is engaged in activities such as Annakshetrama[10], Gau Seva, donation of funds for education of poor students, providing help for poor girls' marriage and many others[11]. Trust also organizes educational workshops in jails to improve the moral ethics of inmates. With the help of Shri Ramcharitmanas, Shrimad Bhagwat Gita and other epics Trust provide knowledge of ancient scriptures, Vedas, Puranas and Indian heritage[12]. In addition to this Trust also organizes workshops on Yoga, Meditation, Astrology, Religion and Sanskrit at the shores of river Ganga in Haridwar.[13]

While conducting the workshops[14], Sadhvi came across some really burning issues of the society such as female infanticide, lack of girls' education, dowry system, and disrespect towards the elderly and senior citizens. She was so touched by these evil issues of the society that she took an oath to protect the girls and the elderly by all means. With the primary objective of preventing the killing of female fetuses and finding homes for those rejected by their children. The trust also provides funds for the education of economically weaker girls, educational and vocational training for orphaned girls and organizes mass marriage ceremonies across India. The trust has also established homes and care centres for the elderly people and Gow-shalas for the prevention of cow slaughter
