Viveca Paulin (born April 24, 1969) is a Swedish actress and auctioneer. She is married to American comedic actor Will Ferrell, with whom she has three sons.
Early life[edit]
Viveca Paulin was born in Askim, Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. She attended Pomona College, graduating in 1991.[2]
Career[edit]
Paulin has appeared in small roles in film and television, including A Night at the Roxbury.[citation needed]
Paulin appeared with Ferrell on the last televised episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, giving birth to her son Axel only hours later. On the episode, Paulin played the character Dawn, the wife of Ferrell's rock and roll persona, as they performed "Free Bird" with Conan, Billy Gibbons, Beck, Ben Harper and Max Weinberg and The Tonight Show Band.[citation needed]
Art[edit]
Paulin is an active member of the Los Angeles art community. Formerly an independent auctioneer for clients including Bonhams and Butterfield & Butterfield,[3] she is currently an auctioneer at Los Angeles Modern Auctions.[1] Since 2011, Paulin has been on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She and her husband are also supporters of the Hammer Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art,[3] and the MAK Center.[4]
Personal life[edit]
Paulin married American comedic actor Will Ferrell in August 2000. The couple have three sons, Magnus Paulin Ferrell (born March 7, 2004),[5] Mattias Paulin Ferrell (born December 30, 2006),[6] and Axel Paulin Ferrell (born January 23, 2010).[7] Paulin and Ferrell have a residence in New York City.[1]
