Vivetta Ponti (born 21 November 1980 in Assisi, Italy) is an Italian fashion designer and founder of the fashion brand Vivetta.[1]

Early life and education

Vivetta Ponti was born in Assisi, Italy. She later moved to Florence, where she attended the Liceo Linguistico Le Mantellate.[2]

Career

Ponti began her career working in the design office of Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. She later joined Daniele Alessandrini, where she worked as head designer specializing in embroidery and textile design.[3]

In 2008, Ponti won the Who’s Next competition in Paris, recognizing emerging fashion designers.[4]

She founded her brand Vivetta in 2010, debuting at the White trade show in Milan.[5]

In 2015, Ponti was invited by Giorgio Armani to present her Autumn/Winter 2015–2016 collection at the Armani/Teatro during Milan Fashion Week.[6] [7]

Ponti participated in the Swarovski Collective in 2016 and 2017, becoming the first Italian designer included in the initiative.[8]

She has collaborated with several fashion brands, including Max Mara, contributing designs to the Weekend Max Mara line.[9]

Ponti also designed garments for singer Cher, worn for the cover of the album Christmas, released in 2023.[10]

Fashion shows and recognition

Ponti has presented collections during Milan Fashion Week and has been recognized as an emerging talent in Italian fashion.[11]

Her designs have been worn by international public figures and featured in major fashion publications.[12]

Personal life

Ponti lives and works in Florence, Italy.[13]
