Voicy is a short audio platform that allows users to discover, create, and share short sound clips. Founded in 2020 by Xander Kanon (CEO) and Milan Kokir (CTO) in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the platform has a library containing over 500,000 sound clips and boasts a strong community of users.
One of the unique aspects of Voicy is its ability to share sound memes and sound effects across messaging apps and social media, similar to the popular GIF platform Giphy. Additionally, it is widely used by creators in the video and streaming space to find and use external audio in their content.
In 2022, Voicy raised pre-seed funding from GFC and several angel investors. The company's website can be found at www.voicy.network.
