Voompla was founded by Kaushambi Bakshi and Palash Bakshi when they recognized an opportunity and capitalized on the surging demand of content consumption on social media [2]. Kaushambi is an English Literature Honours graduate from St. Xavier's College Mumbai. She completed her MBA from RMIT University in Melbourne. Palash has a Finance and Accounting background with industry experience in Melbourne, Australia. Voompla covers events and celebrities in Bollywood including red carpets, fashion shows, movie premieres, interviews and celebrity spottings [3]. The news brand mainly caters to millennials and Gen Z audiences. It serves over 500 million+ impressions across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. In 2021, it crossed 11M+ followers across social media. [4][5] Voompla has collaborated with Movie production houses, OTT platforms, and Lifestyle brands [6][7].
