Hoàng Thái Vũ (better known as Vũ, born March 10, 1995) is a Vietnamese singer, songwriter. The male artist is well-known for his Indie Pop hits such as: Finding You in Winter (Đông Kiếm Em) (2016), Strange (Lạ Lùng) (2017), etc. His music style is heavily impacted by Jason Mraz. Although, Damien Rice is the inspiration for Vũ during his working process on his first hit (Lạ Lùng)[1]. He is one of the lead artists who raise the wave of Indie Music and bring the genre into daylight.[2] Vũ starts his music composing career by constantly posting his work on the most recognizable media social networks like Soundcloud and Youtube. In 2019, Vũ had a chance to work with Warner Music Group to release the single called Her Summer (Mùa Hè Của Em). Vũ is the first Vietnamese artist who co-operates with Warner Music Group

Early Life[edit]

Despite having talent in writing and artistic subject, Vũ was not recognized by his family. Grew up in a typical classic Vietnamese family with his dad served the army, Vũ was forced to go to a Military Academy.[3] After 6 rough years, Vũ determined to leave the academy and convince his family to let the artist chase his passion. Luckily, this time his family respected his decision and support him all the way since then.


Carrer[edit]

Vũ start his journey on music path in 2014 by posted his first original song Hanoi Spring (Xuân Hà Nội) on Youtube. He then continues to contribute to the community a few musical products but Finding You in Winter (Đông Kiếm Em) (2016) is the song which put Vũ on the map of Vietnamese music society. The music video of the song reaches 36 million views on Youtube. A year later, the hit Strange (Lạ Lùng) (2017) sparked the name Vũ in Vietnamese young generation. The song hits 76 million views on Youtube and echoed in every youngster mobile device at that time. In the same year, he held a live show (petition (to be allowed) to be alone) at Hanoi Youth Theater, the tickets were sold out in few hours.[4] 2019 seems to be a busy year for Vũ, it is a huge step in his career when he released his first album Paralell Universe (Vũ Trụ Song Song) even with an up and down way. Later in the year, he had a professional contract with a big name "Warner Music Group" and work hard to produce the single Her Summer (Mùa Hè Của Em)[5]


Personal Life[edit]

2019 is truly a big year for Vũ, the artist announced to get married in a short time in future.[6]
