WAVO by OSN is an online streaming platform that delivers entertainment to its user base in the form of Movies.[1], TV shows, Sports, and Live TV. The content provided on WAVO is in two languages, namely English and Arabic. WAVO also provides 25 Live TV Channels that the users get instant access to when subscribed.

There are two subscription options to choose from, either subscribe on a monthly basis with no annual contract or purchase day and week passes for one-off sporting events.

The streaming service is launched by OSN with the aim of providing premium entertainment to its subscribers. Content is only offered to those who live in Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates or Yemen[2][3]. Users can access and stream content on the WAVO website and on a dedicated mobile app which they can use on their mobile phones, tablets, laptops PCs, and smart TV’s.

WAVO was previously called ‘Go’ by OSN[4] but was rebranded to WAVO on the 15th of August 2017[5][1][6].

Features[edit]

Apart from the regular features of a streaming service, WAVO has additional features to offer. Users get Live TV, Video on Demand, Arabic Subtitles, with no annual contract. They can also choose to use WAVO across five different devices (phones, tablets, laptops, PCs, and smart TV’s) as well as manage their account. A WAVO subscription also offers 25 live channels[7]:

DU[edit]

DU signed a partnership with WAVO[8][9], customers get three options. They can choose to pay for WAVO packs via their mobile bill, they can get WAVO as a part of post-paid bundles along with other services, or with Du’s home package where you get WAVO along with home services[10].[11]

Umniah Jordan[edit]

Umniah Jordan launched the country’s first Smart Packages and Bundles option in conjunction with WAVO. This partnership gives customers another method of signing up to WAVO in Jordan – through their mobile billing.[12]

Mastercard[edit]

Due to their partnerships, those who sign up with Mastercard will be eligible for special benefits.[13][14].[15]

Zain Iraq[edit]

WAVO comes as a bundle option for Zain Iraq customers. The partnership gives customers another method of signing up to WAVO in Iraq – through their mobile bill.

Zain Kuwait[edit]

Through the partnership with WWE, subscribers who sign up to WAVO are granted access to the WWE Network App[17].

Subscribers get instant access to wrestling content featuring specials on their favourite WWE superstars, classic match-ups, and PPV events.

ASLI[edit]

ASLI, meaning real, genuine, original and native in many of the region’s languages, is free content available through WAVO where the users get access to the region’s best talent, content from independent, local and regional creators[18][19]

WAVO subscribers can view content from genres like Adventure & Lifestyle, Travel and Culture, Comedy, Music, Scripted Series, Audio and Podcasts, Short Films and Feature Films.
