WNDW-TV is the official Fox outlet licensed to broadcast within Wilmington–Seaford, Delaware. It is co-owned by Taylorfilms and Fox Television Stations, with the station being operated by the latter company. The two stations share studios at Fox's tertiary headquarters within Delaware.

History

WNDW's origins can be traced to October 2015, when the station's license and construction permit was secured by Taylorfilms, being one of five licenses that were granted simultaneously by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to parties interested in expanding commercial television into Delaware in terms of separate stations, being served independently outside of Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Baltimore. In 1948, The Walt Disney Company purchased a 49.3% interest in the station and assisted in completing its construction in exchange for making channel 11 the official Delaware affiliate of the Fox Broadcasting Company.
