WOMEX Awards
The WOMEX Awards also known as World Music Expo Award is an award for world music, first introduced in 1999.[1][2]
From 2008, two awards were offered per year: one for "Artists" and one for "Professional Excellence".
The WOMEX Top Label Award was created in 2006 and selected using data gathered by the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE).[3] In 2017, the organizers began to include data from the Transglobal World Music Chart (TWMC) as well.[4]
