Wabash Railroad Streator Branch
The Streator branch line of the Wabash was a short branch line that split off of the TP&W in Fairbury, IL[1] and ended in Streator IL. It connected to the main line via trackage rights over the TP&W between Fairbury and Forrest, IL
Originally, the line was built by the Chicago & Paducah Railroad between 1871 and 1873. From its starting point in Fairbury, it travelled by Honnegers mill.[2] Many traces of small towns are still visible. By 1973, the line was without use majority of the time, and only used when asked,[3]until being removed in 1992[4]
