Wai Yan Aung (born 22 July 1991) is a Myanmar beauty pageant entrepreneur, gurú and the Founder and CEO of the Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization.[1]
Early life[edit]
Wai Yan Aung was born in Minbu a town in Magway region in Myanmar. Since he was young, he was very passionate about beauty pageants. At the age of 10, he started watching Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. He spent his spare time by watching beauty pageant TV shows. Instead of playing with the doll or watching cartoons movies like other kids, he was collecting pageants videos and pageant photos and news from newspapers and magazines. His childhood dream was to send the representatives of Myanmar to international beauty pageants. In 2012, his dream came true and he becomes the pioneer of Myanmar pageants who could send Miss Myanmar to international beauty pageant again after 50 years absence of Myanmar participation at major international pageants.[1]
Miss Golden Land Myanmar[edit]
Wai Yan Aung founded Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization in 2013 with his friend, co-founder & CEO named Han Zaw Latt who becomes the world’s youngest National Director at the age of 18."Wai Yan Aung founded Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization with co-founder and CEO Mr. Han Zaw Latt since 2013". Their Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization becomes the most successful beauty pageant organization in Myanmar that currently owns and runs Myanmar beauty pageant that has been responsible for selecting the representatives of Myanmar for Miss Earth, Miss Supranational, Miss Globe, Miss Tourism and other international pageants. [3] The pageant has been annually held for selecting five major winners of Myanmar representatives.
