Wakei Yada(夜田わけい) is a Japanese writer. There is also activity under the name of 矢田和啓.

Career

Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1993, he grew up in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. He also stayed in Taiwan and Beijing as a child. He is linguistically influenced by his father, who speaks Chinese and English. He entered Shizuoka University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Environmental Forest Science in 2011. After studying abroad at University of Alberta in Canada for 8 months in 2012, he returned to Japan. At his study abroad destination, he seemed to be lectured on philosophy and forestry...[1].

In October 2016, a two-person exhibition was held with ni_ka at the Shizuoka University Library[2]. He graduated from Shizuoka University in 2017. In the same year, an English translation of "Hyoka, Raigai: RPG Poetics" was introduced in "Tokyo Poetry Journal Vol.4: Heisei Generations" with a translation by Andrew Campana[3]. In the same year, he was selected for the 6th term of the Japan Contemporary Poet Association website[4]

In 2017, the novel "Apostle of Truth(真理の使徒)" remained as a final candidate in the science fiction novel contest held at SF Fanzin No. 61[5], and he started serializing the feature-length novel "2100", which was a rewrite of "Apostle of Truth" from issue 62, completing it in issue 64[6][7][8]. In this science fiction contest, in 2018[9], 2019[10], and 2020[11], his work remained as a final candidate four times in a row.

From 2016 to the present, he launched the literary magazine Chakashism. Well-known participating writers include Yamaguchi Yu (SF writer), ni_ka, Mamoru Nagamono, and poets Tian Yuan, Ryota Yamada.[12][13][14].

From August 2019, the LINE Novel feature-length novel "Eternaloid" was released[15]. The sequel "Eternaloid: Remember" was also released[16]. This work was distributed on Kindle as one book together with the sequel "Eternaloid ∮ Acceleland: ||" on December 31, 2020[17]

He won a special prize in the "Chengdu 100 Years Later" Sci-Fi Contest at the 5th China International Science Fiction Tournament held in November 2019, reported by Taiyo Fujii on his Twitter from the venue in real time[18], and it became news in China[19]

Recently, he published two novels, "Valve oil at 25:00, how did I become a novelist who has no memories?" and "While it was raining, I put an umbrella on it to prevent ruby."[20]
