Wale Akorede

Wale Akorede (born 5 November 1967) in Ibadan, a South-Western city in Oyo state, Nigeria. He is an actor, script writer, film producer and director known notably for his works in the Yoruba film Industry. He is prominent for his comical roles played in majority of his movies. He is also known as Okunnu.[1]
Early Life and Education[edit]
Wale is a native of Ogbomoso, a town in Oyo state, Nigeria. He had his basic and secondary school education in Ibadan. He is a graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic where he obtained a degree in Fine Arts.[2]
Career[edit]
Wale has always been passionate about acting movie roles since his childhood. Wale started his career as an actor in the film industry in 1984, years after the completion of his studies in Fine Arts. He rose to prominence after playing in the movie titled Ayekoto, a Yoruba film produced by Shafardeen Olabode. He enjoys playing comical roles.[2]
