Waleid Hanna is an Egyptian-American entrepreneur, security consultant, and sports executive. He is the founder of the American Federation of Speedball and CEO of 333 Security Services Inc., a licensed security firm in Murrieta, California. Hanna is recognized for introducing the Egyptian-origin sport of Speedball to the United States and fostering international collaborations for its development.
Early Life and Education
Waleid Hanna was born in Egypt.[1] He earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from an Egyptian university in 1999.[2] Before immigrating to the United States, he managed accounts for tourism companies in Egypt.[3]
Speedball Promotion in the United States
Hanna founded the American Federation of Speedball (AFS) in 2017, formalizing the sport’s presence in the U.S.[4] Under his leadership, the U.S. team placed 5th out of 25 nations at the 2019 Speedball World Championship in France.[5] Hanna integrated Speedball into U.S. schools, starting with Murrieta Mesa High School in 2019,[6] and facilitated its adoption by the U.S. Marine Corps in 2023.[7]
International Collaboration
Hanna established the North America Speedball Federation (NASF) in 2021, uniting the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.[8] He formalized partnerships with Egypt, France, and Tunisia, including agreements endorsed by Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Tunisia’s Minister Kamel Deguiche.[9][10]
Recognition
Hanna was featured on the cover of Stroll Bear Creek magazine in March 2024 for popularizing Speedball in Southern California.[11] His efforts have been recognized by Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and covered by international media, including Ahram Online and Emirates Voice.[12][13]
Security and Investigations Career
Hanna is the CEO of 333 Security Services Inc., a California-licensed firm specializing in private patrol and investigations.[14] The company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and holds licenses from the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).[15]
