Wannigan Days
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Wannigan Days is a four-day festival, held in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Taylors Falls, Minnesota and other surrounding communities.[1][2][3] Wannigan Days is a celebration of the logging history of the St. Croix region. A wannigan is a floating cook shanty and occasional bunkhouse used by "River Rats" – people that drove the logs down the river, similar to cowboys herding cattle.[4]
