Wannigan Days

Wannigan Days is a four day festival, held in St. Croix Falls , Wisconsin, Taylors Falls Minnesota and other surrounding communities.[1][2][3] Wannigan days is a celebration of the logging history of the saint Croix region. A Wannigan is a floating cook shanty and occasional bunkhouse used by "River Rats" People that drove the logs down the river, similar to cowboys herding cattle.[4]
