Wanyihwa Trakantapathawi, more often addressed as Yihwa, is a female lead character from Thai dramas Bad Romance (2016) and Together With Me (2017) portrayed by Thai-Chinese actress Maengmum Pimnitchakun Bumrungkit.[1][2]
Personal life[edit]
Yihwa is a university student majoring in architecture. She is a confident woman and always wearing high fashion. She really loves her friends and if they're having problems, she's always ready to fight for them.[3]
Much is not known about Yihwa's parents or family background. But she does comes from a wealthy background, since she often wears brand handbags, fashionable outfits, and she has also described herself as "beautiful, rich and perfect".[4]
Yihwa had a major change in her personality during high school when she found out that her best friend, Mydear was sabotaging her after Mydear found out that her crush, France likes Yihwa instead of her. As a result, Yihwa poured soup on Mydear's head and slapped her face twice as well as kicked her in the face so badly that Mydear had to get a nose job.[5]

Physical appearance[edit]
In Bad Romance The Series Yihwa has shoulder length dark brown curled hair paired with brown eyes and long lashes, while in Together With Me The Series she has long wavy blonde hair, which later in the series changes to brown.[6][7]
Yihwa often wears her university uniform, which consists of a plain white collar shirt and a black skirt (either long or short) usually paired with killer heels.
Her makeup tends to be quite bold. She wears red lipstick, black eyeliner, bronzer, blush and some light eyeshadow. In the night-time she goes for a more darker lip color. Yihwa also paints her nails red all the time.[8]
She wears a few accessories too, for example a gold ring on her left hand middle finger as well as a black-gold watch.
Personality[edit]
Yihwa is portrayed as very confident and sassy. In Bad Romance The Series both Cho and Korn have described her as if she is "raising a herd of dogs in her mouth", referencing to her vulgar remarks.[9][10]
But Yihwa also has a heart of gold, she is very loyal to her friends. Korn and Knock gave Yihwa the nickname "Mother-in-law" because Yihwa is one of Korn's good friends and she helped them form their relationship, but also because Yihwa often nags and lectures them. Despite her intimidating facade, she is also very caring, she took care of Cho multiple times when he was sick. Yihwa has also admitted to loving romantic things like offers of marriage in public.[11]

Bad Romance[edit]
Yihwa first appears in Bad Romance The Series when she is shopping at the supermarket, where she has a nasty encounter with her former best friend, Mydear. She was shopping for things which she later brings to her close friend's, Korn's university dorm, who is celebrating his anniversary with his boyfriend, Knock. Yihwa joins the party and later is ordered to open the door when the doorbell rings. This is the first time she meets Korn's friend, Cho, who then falls in love with Yihwa at first sight. But Yihwa doesn't feel the same way, instead, she thinks that Cho is gay and that he wants to have a relationship with Knock, making Yihwa feel nothing but anger and suspicion towards Cho. After that day, Cho started to pursue Yihwa.
In Bad Romance The Series Yihwa is a 2nd year university student and her age is revealed to be 21. She lives in a dorm together with 2 other girls, Being and Dewey.
Together With Me[edit]
Yihwa is a 1st year university student in Together With Me The Series and shares the dorm with Fai. Yihwa's main goal is to expose Knock's evil girlfriend, Plern Pleng in order to save his relationship with Korn. Yihwa agrees to kiss Fai, her tomboy roommate in order to help create confusion about Korn and Knock's relationship since a photo of them kissing leaked out. Yihwa, Fai, Korn, Knock and everybody else often go out drinking at the local bar, since their senior P'Phu works there.
Yihwa never took a liking to Plern Pleng, throughout the series she is very skeptical about her and even told her this face to face. Yihwa along with Fai successfully garner evidence about Pleng being evil by looking at security camera footage and confronting her with other photos and videos they took.
