War on the Rocks

War on the Rocks is a website showcasing expert analysis of national security and foreign policy issues.[1]. Founded in 2016, War on the Rocks has partnered with the University of Texas's National Security Network since 2017 to publish the Texas National Security Review (which also appears in print form). [2].

War on the Rocks in an independent company partly supported by members, who can participate in discussions and have access to some exclusive content. A 2017 report from Harvard University's Nieman Lab described members as current and former military, academics, defense contractors, civilians working on defense, national security, and diplomacy, and journalists. The founder of War on the Rocks, Ryan Evans, holds a master's degree in intelligence and international security from King's College in London. He has worked at the International Center for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence and participated in a U.S. army program that put social scientists in the field with the military in Afghanistan.[3]
