From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Wardy G Joubert III ( August 30th 1971 - December 11th 2016) - also known as Wood, was the subject in a photograph known as "Wood sitting on a bed" that became one of the most popular memes[1] during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic[2] in 2020

Wardy G Joubert III was semi pro American footballer and church deacon in San Francisco who was a member of Gold's Gym. While at the gym he met Walter Smith owner of Pantheon Productions, a producer of gay pornography, and was invited to pose naked sitting on a bed. The picture was taken 2011 but became very popular during the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in Wood becoming the unwitting star of thousands upon thousands of ‘bait-and-switch’ prank texts.

Wardy G Joubert III died of a heart attack and his family appealed to the public for money to buy a headstone via a Go Fund Me page
