Warkop Millennium is an Indonesian soap opera that airs on Indosiar which is a continuation of the comedy group Warkop and is re-aired by ANTV.
History
After Kasino Hadiwibowo died, Wahyu Sardono and Indrojoyo Kusumonegoro remained. They could not carry the name Warkop because DKI stands for Dono, Kasino, and Indro. Therefore, Indro changed the name of the group to Warkop Millenium. The success of the last two remaining Warkop DKI personnel did not last long. At the end of 2001 Dono also died due to shortness of breath which he had suffered for a long time. The world of Indonesian entertainment was shocked by the news of this very popular comedian with the bemo's distinctive face. After Dono's death, the making of the soap opera he was still starring in with Indro stopped. Dono left Indro alone to continue raising the Warkop flag in the Indonesian entertainment world. Before he died, Dono also advised Indro to continue the great name Warkop until the end of his life.
