Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) is a private for-profit university founded in 2008 in Vienna, Virginia. WUST is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.
History
Established originally in 2008, IGlobal University (Innovative Global University) was inaugurated in March 2021 as the first Bangladeshi-owned university in the United States.[1][2]
It was accredited through 2016 by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools,[3][4] and has been accredited since March 2018 by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.[5][6] Washington University of Science and Technology is certified as a Private Postsecondary School by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.[7]
WUST's alumni association was incorporated in May 2021.[8] The WUST Foundation was incorporated in October 2020.[9]
In 2022, the Kalambaka Library announced five tuition assistance programs for students at WUST: two for undergraduates and three for graduates, under the auspices of the Hellenic Directorate of Thessaly.[10][11]
Academics
WUST confers CompTIA Network and CompTIA Security Certificates;[12] Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and Information Technology (BSIT);[13] Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) and Cybersecurity (MSCS); and Master of Business Administration (MBA).[14]
