Wayne F. Dennison

Wayne F. Dennison is a general commercial litigator at Brown Rudnick, a mega-firm based in the United States of America[1]. Dennison co-chairs commercial litigation and leads the real estate and telecommunications practices at Brown Rudnick. Dennison is known for his work with Fortune 500 corporations, but his clientele ranges from elected officials to individuals as well. Dennison has represented many corporations and settled actions between major corporations, such as in Rogers Street, LLC vs. MBA-Cambridge, LLC[2]. He also defended the (then) acting Governor of Massachusetts against a federal civil rights action from a former employee. He has played a critical role in software protection legislation over the last decade, as well as dealing in tobacco and marijuana legislation[3]. He is known also for his legislative position in "Deflategate" in opposition to the Wells Report[4], which garnered him respect in the mass media. Dennison has been noted in a number of business and law journals as well as major news sources.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] Dennison currently serves as the Chairman of the Duxbury Town Zoning Board of Appeals.[13]

Dennison graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude in 1988 with a Bachelor of the Arts. In 1991, Dennison graduated from Northeastern with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Dennison attended the Harvard Kennedy School where he graduated in 1998 with a MPA.[1]

Professorial career[edit]

Dennison was a professor and lecturer at the New England School of Law for a number of years[14] until his recent resignation, which allowed him to spend more time at his firm.

Awards and Honors[edit]

Dennison has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a top rated Business Litigation attorney in Boston for the last decade and a half (first in 2004, then 2006-2007, 2009, and 2011-2017). Dennison was named in Who’s Who in Tobacco Litigation, published by the American Lawyer. He also received the highest peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell.[2]
