Wayne LeGette's mother enrolled him in the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theater, a local after-school training program, which he attended for three years. He then auditioned for and was accepted into the Dillard High School of Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.[1] He won the Carbonell Award for Broadway Bound.[2] Wayne LeGette played the role of Charlie in the 1994 production Chaplin, which won the Carbonell Award for Best New Work.[3] Wayne has played leading roles in theatres around the world. He appeared as Nathan in Rags at Paper Mill Playhouse.[4] It was nominated for nine Carbonell Awards.[5] He participated in a concert called Follies.[6] Wayne acted in the production Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors.[7]
