WeAreTheStation are a British alternative rock band formed in Nottingham, England. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Bainy, guitarists and vocalists Jen Salisbury and Dave Sansom, bassist and keyboardist Paul Campion, and drummer Rob Barber.
They are known for blending indie guitar melodies, punk attitude, and classic rock influences within the regional East Midlands music scene.
History
WeAreTheStation was formed in 2024 by a group of musicians with contrasting musical backgrounds who shared a common interest in expressive songwriting. Based in Nottingham, the group began writing and rehearsing in the city centre, quickly becoming a fixture of the local live music scene across Nottinghamshire. Between 2025 and early 2026, the band recorded their debut studio album, Looking For A Better World, at Bunkhouse Studios located in Bulwell, Nottingham. The album was officially released on March 12, 2026,[1] across digital streaming services and physical formats via Bandcamp. Following the release, the band was highlighted by Aldora Britain Records, featuring in a dedicated interview for Issue 556 of their global independent music e-zine.[2]
Musical style and influences
The band's musical style has been described as a fusion of alternative rock, indie, punk, and pop.
