We are not a comedy club

No doubt you are phenomenally funny, have your mates in stitches, and will one day outdo Monty Python as a king of comedy (And indeed have a joke that will kill at a thousand yards), good luck with that.

Wikipedia is however wp:not a forum or a soapbox. It is also not a comedy club. Talk pages (and indeed articles, if we meant them to be funny we would have put a joke in them) are not stages for your comedic skits.

You might get away with it once or twice (with appropriate warnings) but if your time here is spent trying to make us laugh, you will end up with a block for wp:disruption, and no amount of voltage will make your account go Vroom.

We are also WP:NOTDUMB "calm down, dear, it's only a joke" will not work. This is especialy true of the joke is wp:npov breaking or a wp:blp violation.

So please keep your jokes to yourselves.
