Webytor is a product of Unitor Tech Limited. Unitor Tech Limited was founded in November 2015 to develop “Webytor” by Bangladeshi software engineers, Md Rubel, Shahariar Chowdhury, and Alimul Islam. They were backed by investors Md Rejaul Karim Chowdhury, Shamima Chowdhury Rozy, and Hena Akter. With the branch developers' hard work, Unitor released the first beta version of webytor.com in March 2017 in Bangladesh and the USA. In March 2017, Shahariar Chowdhury, CEO and Co-founder of Webytor, received an award for being one of the top five finalist teams out of 25 competitors in the BIG IDEAS CHALLENGE 2017 in the USA. By the end of 2018, Webytor released a stable version for users in Bangladesh and the international market. That year, Unitor Tech Limited decided to serve its customers regionally, not globally, and held off on a commercial global release. In January 2019, Webytor made a technical and distribution contract with Atom AP Sdn. Bhd. Established in 2016, Atom AP Sdn Bhd is an MSC status IT company based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has a sister company in Bangladesh and company headquarters in Japan, across the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to its MSC status, Atom AP currently holds valid MCMC, MDEC, and MOF licenses in Malaysia. On May 2, 2019, Webytor released its first commercial version for the Malaysian market only, under the webytor.com.my domain. At the same time, Webytor migrated to the AWS cloud platform.
