Wecasa was founded in 2016 by Antoine Chatelain, Pierre André, Fabien Nendaz, Anne-Émilie Prévot and Julien Lestavel[2].
In 2022, the company reported having around 200,000 clients and 7,000 self-employed professionals in France. When expanding to London in the same year, it stated that it was working with around 500 professionals and had reached nearly 5,000 clients[3].

In September 2018, Wecasa launched a domestic cleaning services and raised 1.2€ million from ISAI, Kernel Investissement and several business angels, including Sébastien Forest (Alloresto), Nicolas Cohen (Ankorstore), Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet (Rakuten) and Yvan Wibaux (Evaneos)[7].
In 2019, the company raised 4.5€ million from the investment fund Serena Capital[8]
In 2021, Wecasa announced a 15€ million funding round[9][10][11] from Blisce and existing shareholders to support its international development, particularly in the United Kingdom.
In December 2024, Wecasa announced an 18€ million funding round[12][13] to expand its professional network and cover more French cities[14]. The round was carried out with its historical investors (Serena, Blisce and ISAI) as well as the fund iXO Private Equity.
