Welcome to the Grindhouse
Welcome to the Grindhouse is a series of double-feature DVDs featuring exploitation films from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The series was released by BCI Entertainment. The first wave was released on July 3, 2007.
Each “Welcome to the Grindhouse” DVD release features two full-length theatrical films, complete with trailers and theater ads. Each release features two themed films that represent grindhouse staples – martial arts, horror, sexploitation, and action—with some titles coming from the Crown International Pictures library.

Exploitation Cinema
With the release of the 2007 film Grindhouse, The Weinstein Company decided to pursue legal action against all DVD companies using the "Grindhouse" phrase on their DVDs. To avoid a lawsuit, the name of the collection was changed to Exploitation Cinema. The style of the box art and DVD layout remained the same as the Welcome To The Grindhouse collection.
