Wendy Wersch Memorial Lecture

The Wendy Wersch Memorial Lecture is an annual event dedicated to autonomy for women artists, celebrating the memory of Winnipeg artist Wendy Wersch. The lectures take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and focus on women in the visual arts as role models for innovative cultural investigation. The series builds awareness of feminist art criticism, activism and practice.[1] This lecture, organized by the Wendy Wersch Memorial Committee, is supported by Mentoring Artists for Women's Art (MAWA) and The Winnipeg Foundation.

Past lecturers include Mary Read (2015),[2] Sheila Spence (2014), Barb Hunt (2013), Roewan Crowe and Lucy Lippard.[3]
